Happy St. Patrick's Day

We went to visit Kevin at work today for St. Patrick's Day. This morning I was able to get a picture of him talking to his monkey (on the wall next to his changing table). Brandon was in a good mood and definitely liked all the attention he got. He has gotten much better about traveling in the car and being in his car seat. He usually likes to be in motion, so stopping at stoplights makes him protest a little.

Smiles

Brandon has started smiling in response to us. It's so cute when he gives us a big gummy grin, his whole face lights up. I've had a hard time getting it on camera because as soon as he see the lights on the camera he gets a serious look on his face.

Brandon enjoys tummy time still, can bear his weight on his legs, occasionally rolls over to his back, and loves to "talk to us".

Success!!!

We have managed to get Brandon's weight up to 9 pounds and 10 ounces with the help of the formula on a daily basis. The doctor was pleased and now we will return to see her for his 2 month appointment instead of weekly weight checks like we have been doing. This means a little less stress for me!!!

Happy Valentines Day

Supplementing

Brandon's doctor has encouraged me to start supplementing with infant formula as she has been concerned with his slow weight gain despite every effort on my part to give him enough to eat when he nurses. I will be giving him 2 ounces twice a day to better meet his needs.
His weight at his last appointment was 9 pounds 2 ounces, with a goal of gaining a half pound a week.

Time at home

Brandon has started enjoying tummy time. We only spend ~5 minutes a couple times a day at tummy time but I think it is a good start. We also had to spend some time in the sunlight to help with Brandon's jaundice and I couldn't resist taking pictures of his feet.

Grandparents

Grandma Payne, Walt, Great Grandma Dudley, and Grandpa all came to visit me when I can home.
