Mason took a tumble in the waves and promptly declared "I don't like that!"

We spent the majority of the day at the beach followed by lunch at Ruby's diner on the pier with Grandma Diane and Aunt Sharon!  The boys had a blast, of course.  Mason took a tumble in the waves, which were crashing hard against the steep shore. Brandon was not even brave enough to drip a toe in the water but did spent time digging in the sand with the sand toys.  Kevin and I braved the chilly water and did a little swimming and riding of the waves near the shore.
We spent the afternoon entertaining Aunt Sharon and Grandma Diane with our swimming pool antics and making beadie babies.  Kevin and I even got to have a date night, thanks to Aunt Sharon!!!!

The boys each picked out a stuffed baby owl for a souvenir from Knott's,  Momma picked out a solid geode which turned out to be a beautiful amythsyt hollow geode!!!

The boys have been interested in learning how to sew since our cabin trip, thanks to Chloe and Alli!  So what do I do?  We pick put fabric from Joanne's, I show B how to thread a needle and we sew little sleeping bags for their lovies.  What does Kevin do?  He gets home, pulls out his grandmas sewing machine, spends an hour getting it going, and sews Brandon a pillow case!

it's tough to be a Payne dog...

Well, since we don't have a real pool our kiddie/dog pool will have to do on these hot summer days!  The boys have been sharing the snorkel and think it is so fun to "look around under water".  Can't thank you enough Aunt Gail for the snorkel set you sent us a couple years ago.
