Just another day

Brandon likes to spend time sitting up with the assistance of his bumbo seat that Grandma Payne gave him. He enjoyed helping me make dinner last night. Sometimes it's a challenge to get him into the chair as he has chubby thighs and a big round tummy!!

Nap time success

Brandon has been talking up a storm for us, sometimes he won't even let us get a word in. He is still doing well with tummy time, likes to "stand up" with assistance, and is very alert. He smiles in response to us and laughs too. He really likes bath time, as long as he has a full tummy.
I have finally figured out his day time sleeping schedule, lately I have been able to get him down for two naps a day (this is a victory for me after all these weeks). He has also started being somewhat content when he wakes in his crib in the morning. Often we find him talking to his mobile. As soon as he sees one of us he flashes a big gummy grin and his whole face lights up. It just melts my heart.
I can't believe I only have a couple of weeks of maternity leave left, time has just flown by. It will probably break my heart to be away from him since the longest I have spent without him has been a 1-2 hours.

2 month appointment

Brandon is now 13 pounds, 24 inches long. He is back to his growth curves and the doctor and I are pleased. Brandon is still receiving supplemental formula but is still receiving most of his nutrition from me. He cried during his vaccinations however promptly fell asleep after for several hours without much else for side effects.
We spent Saturday with Kevin's family in Chandler. It was Brandon's first long adventure away from home and he did well. Uncle Robert and Aunt Cheri's house will likely be a favorite place to visit as they have lots of animals to pet and a tractor to ride (when Brandon gets big enough).

Happy St. Patrick's Day

We went to visit Kevin at work today for St. Patrick's Day. This morning I was able to get a picture of him talking to his monkey (on the wall next to his changing table). Brandon was in a good mood and definitely liked all the attention he got. He has gotten much better about traveling in the car and being in his car seat. He usually likes to be in motion, so stopping at stoplights makes him protest a little.

Smiles

Brandon has started smiling in response to us. It's so cute when he gives us a big gummy grin, his whole face lights up. I've had a hard time getting it on camera because as soon as he see the lights on the camera he gets a serious look on his face.

Brandon enjoys tummy time still, can bear his weight on his legs, occasionally rolls over to his back, and loves to "talk to us".
