38 weeks

38 weeks and still hanging in there. Only 1cm dilated and planning to see the OB next Thursday! Brandon was saying "baby" for this picture, still not too sure he fully understands that he will have a little brother soon.


I gave Brandon his first real piece of candy tonight....which he absolutely loved. Grandma Thomas has been teaching him to say "trick-or-treat" for Halloween. We are still not sure what he will be for halloween, maybe another monkey or a train (he loves to watch Chuggington in the morning).

Morning at the park

We met up with Grandma Payne this weekend at Udall Park. Brandon had so much fun going down the slide, swinging, and running around.

Kevin was so excited to show Brandon his new t-ball set. He was actually hitting the ball off the tee. Now we just need to teach him what he can and can't hit.....

Prego update:
Closing in on 38 weeks....we are both doing well. The anticipation of when this baby will arrive is driving me crazy though. I am still planning to work until I deliver, like I did with Brandon. We finished the baby's room this weekend (after getting our hand-me-down crib, a big thanks to Kim for that). Just need to pack my bag.....

36 weeks

Sorry, no pictures to post of my endlessly growing abdomen this week, maybe when Kevin gets back from hunting. Baby #2, who we have nicknamed Scooter (beacause he always seems to be moving around), is growing big and strong. He is still in the head down position, and we are measuring right on track for 36 weeks. Not yet dilated but still have a few weeks to go! I am hoping this litle guy arrives on 10/10/10, which happens to be the birthday of Grandma Payne (to continue with the trend of our children being born on the same day as someone in Kevin's family)!!!

Early bird

Brandon beat the alarm clock this morning. We had lots of time before leaving for work/daycare to color, which is our new favorite hobby. I have been wanting to get finger paints for him but I am not too sure I am ready for the mess....

Great weekend...

Thanks to the Grandma's for a great weekend!!!! Brandon and I had a blast hanging out with both Grandma Payne and Grandma Thomas. Brandon was so worn out from his weekend that after his bath tonight, he fell asleep cuddling with me on the couch. I consider that a pricelsess moment.

Mt. Lemmon Hike

Brandon and Kevin went on another kids hike on Mt Lemmon with Diane's hiking club. I was working over the weekend but it sounds like they had lots of fun, as usual. Uncle Brian went this time too. I'm sure he and Kevin spent most of there time talking about Kevin's upcoming archery elk hunt!!!
Brandon's cousins, Easton and Melanie, were also on the hike! Here is Easton, showing off a lizard he caught.

Kevin, PE

Congratulations to Kevin!!!! He took the PE exam (in April) and after months of waiting for the results and then finalizing all the paperwork, he is a PE. We are so proud of him and all the time and effort he put into studying.
