Easter Afternoon @ Grandma's

We spent Easter afternoon having lunch with Grandma and Great-Grandma Dudley this year.  The boys had their third egg hunt for the weekend and now both boys are really good at seeking them out!  The most exciting part of the weekend, for the boys, was getting to have a sleep over with Grandma on Sunday night followed by spending the day with her.  I'll bet Grandma slept like a rock after the kiddos came home.

Happy Easter Morning

What do ya think, a little too close to the camera....Cheeeeeese

Cheese....

I almost missed this cute little Kodak moment.  I was surprised to find the boys not only sharing the chair but they actually seemed happy to be together, enjoying an afternoon snack.

The after math of the tractor!!!

Here are a few pics of the the east side of our lot after the tractor took it's toll!  I already feel like it's too empty, as I kinda liked having the natural desert in our backyard but it is nice to have more room and less sticker hazards!

Spring-time, cactus, and tractors

Here (and above) are some before pics of our cactus filled backyard, most of the cactus was on the east side of the yard.

Grandpa on the tractor

you can imagine how much fun Mason was having....for those who don't realize, Mason is obsessed with tractors

Brandon finally warming up to the Raptor!

Brandon loved having rides also!
This weekend was all about getting our backyard cleaned up!  We rented a roll-off dumpster and a tractor and spent the better part of two days removing cactus to give the boys and dogs more room to run.  I can now add tractor-operator to my list of accomplishments, and boy was it fun.
Grandpa and both Grandma's were a big help this weekend, thanks for all the support you all give us!

Zoo members!

playing the drums by the elephant exhibit!

The boys and I love going to the zoo, and today Nama came with us!  After many trips to the zoo, I finally realized that becoming a member was the most cost effective way to visit the zoo, especially as a family of four with all kiddos older than two.
The boys loved to watch the giraffes eat, the elephant run around (they were doing a separation exercise with the Momma elephant and she wasn't very happy), and to hear the monkeys call out!  It was a fun and we can't wait to return!

Boys will be boys

Just another day movin' dirt in the backyard!  Brandon and Mason have become quite good friends and are getting better and better about sharing and playing together.  Brandon can be a little bossy but Kevin says that's just the way it is with a big brother....

It's pretty cute, when Brandon is in trouble and having to spend time in time-out, Mason has such empathy for his big brother.  He usually wells up with tears and cry's out, "He's my friend", while he tries to go sit with him in time-out.  Such love.

Splish Splash!!!

The boys love to take a bath and we usually end up with so many toys in the tub it can be hard to get them clean!!!  Brandon and Kevin had made a PVC creation to flow water through this night, how appropriate from a Hydrologist and a little engineer-in-training.
