Posing

Just striking his pose. It's weird, for as different as my children have been so far, they both pose in a side-laying position. I decided it's because neither one of them ever learned how to go from crawling into a sitting position!
Look at those cheeks, they practically sag from his face!

Not happy about Mommy insisting on taking (yet another) picture!

Tow Mater Part 2

The boys are really starting to interact more together, most of the time it involves smiles, other times tears from Mason. Aren't they too cute???

Another day at Grandma's

We had another great afternoon at Grandma's house. Brandon still loves to play outside, especially when there is sand and water involved.

Welcome Back Grandpa!!!

Happy birthday and welcome back to Tucson Grandpa!!! My Dad decided it was time to return to the town he grew up in and we are so excited to see him more often.
Brandon loves spending time with Grandpa...here they are enjoying a carrot from our garden. It's amazing what will grow with just regular water (we really haven't tended to our garden for awhile...)

Mason having fun

Crazy door-stop, Mason discovered this one this morning. It's funny because Brandon went through a phase where he loved to play with them too.

Big smiles!

New experiences

I think we are getting closer to potty training...Brandon asked to take his diaper off and wear his Handy Manny under-roos today. He loves to see himself on the camera.

Mason discovering he can get into more trouble if he kneels, this is now how I find him after most of his naps.

Giggles galore

7 months for Mason

So serious...
just hanging out on the couch with Monkey...
Mason has officially been discharged from physical therapy today. Charlene, PT, stated his torticollis is so improved that he is now a bit ahead in his gross motor skills!!! He has also started saying "Ma-ma-ma-ma" this week in addition to his other sounds (da, ba).

Chef-in-training

Just helping Mommy cook dinner. We love to watch cooking shows, especially before nap time.

Mason is Mobile

Look out world, Mason is on the move (just two days shy of 7 months)!!!! He started crawling today, after weeks of rocking back and forth on his hands and knees) and couldn't be happier with his new found freedom. Brandon, on the other hand, is less than enthused with the thought of sharing "his" toys, demonstrating his displeasure by quickly taking away whatever Mason is holding. Ah, brotherly love, let the fun begin! I suppose I now get to add "Referee" to my list of titles...
Mason is sleeping through the night ~95% of the time, still has no teeth, and loves to eat. He is now crawling but has yet to pull himself to his knees or feet. He loves to sit on his bum and use his hands/mouth to explore everything around him.
I still can't get over how incredibly different the boys are. Mason is still barely napping (compared to Brandon's 3-4 hour afternoon nap, which he started doing around this age and is still doing at 2 yrs, 4 mos). Thank goodness for having one kiddo that naps well!

Mother's Day 2011

Just having fun playing together...most of the time. Mason fell asleep while munchin' on a teething buscuit! Unfortunately I had to work this Mother's Day..but my boys made me a delicious homemade strawberry cake with homemade chocolate frosting while my Dad made burgers on the grill for dinner. Nothing better than coming home to dinner and dessert!

Silly boys

Brandon loves to follow every move Kevin makes!!!!
Here we are at the U of A men's baseball game on Saturday, April 31st.
Mason looking adorable.
Mason humored us and allowed a few pictures of him at the game. He has lots of brains...he too has a big head, just like his big brother.

Here is my warrior hat from the Dash!

Warrior Dash 2011

We survived the Warrior Dash, it took us 45 minutes to run the 3.4 "hellish" miles and conquer the 12 obstacles. There were over 7200 competitors on Sunday!!!! My fear of heights was tested by the 15 foot tall cargo net, but everything else wasn't too challenging. They saved jumping over fire for the second to last obstacle and crawling (swimming really) through the mud pit (under barbed wire) for last. If we thought we would leave as clean as we arrived, we were sadly mistaken, getting muddy was unavoidable but our badge of honor. The worst part was after the race was complete, getting "hosed" down with ice cold water being sprayed with a fire hose from a tanker truck. I'll post pictures soon! All and all it was a blast.....we are planning to attend the Warrior Dash 2012!!!
