Science time....

Brandon is my budding little scientist!  Today we spent time mixing "acid" and "base" to watch the colors change and to make it fizz and bubble!  He was so excited but don't worry we only used citric acid and sodium bicarb.  He curiosity is ENDLESS.....

Christmas 2013 was a whirlwind of family and fun.  This year I had to work Christmas day but met up with my boys at Diane's house for Christmas dinner.  The boys got to spend some quality time with Aunt Gail, G-G Dudley, and Grandma this week, which is always fun.  A big thank you to everyone for the Christmas gifts and for carving out time to spend with us!!!!

We celebrated Christmas Eve at Aunt Becky's house, just as we did during my childhood!  The boys had fun playing outside with their cousins (Ethan, Sarah, Chloe, and Allison) before dinner and enjoyed opening presents by the tree and fireplace, just as I did as a child!!!
My Aunt Becky's house brings back memories of my childhood, where, for a short time my parents we still married and all was well.  And as I aged, Aunt Becky's house became a memory of satin ribbon candy, good Mexican food, and my family having a good time, often into the wee hours of the morning. 
The traditions continue on and I hope my boys have fond memories of these years!!!! 

Stitches for Mason

So we had an eventful evening and here are the results!  Yep, if you look close enough there are five stitches in my little guy's beautiful forehead.  He managed to fall and hit the coffee table and split his forehead open.  Fortunately, Kevin was home from work and swooped in to help us....forehead wounds really bleed!  We got to spend the next several hours at Urgent Care, Mason was such a brave little guy....no tears during the entire procedure and actually feel asleep during the last couple stitches.
A special thanks to Grandma Nama for rushing over to stay with Brandon while we were at Urgent Care!
