This year the boys were very excited to ride the ski lift and ride on the carpet slide.  Brandon insisted on riding down the slide with somebody and Mason was all smiles and squeals.  We rode the ski lift a couple times and had lunch at the top, complete with a little rain fall and a few pictures of course.  And notice, I even made it into a couple pictures on this day!

Cabining-part 2

Kim and I ventured out with the kids this afternoon to explore the stream at the end of Greer.  We hiked, played in the water, tried to catch fish with our hands (no fish were caught for those wondering), and got rained on.  We felt we had to work up an appetite for dinner, dessert and cards!

All the kids, both big and small played in the stream, working together to build a dam.

We were able to reserve our favorite cabin, the Cowley, again for an entire week this year with the Thome family.  We have all been looking forward to this since last summer.
Today we ventured out to the West Fork of the Black River to do a little exploring.  We had a picnic lunch and then hiked along the stream to past the afternoon.  The kids were troopers and were rewarded with playtime in the stream.

The first person to fall asleep gets picked on....we painted Brian's toes one night!

The boys are either the best of friends or fighting.  Tonight happens to be a good night and the boys wanted to snuggle in Mason's bed to watch a  movie before bedtime.  So sweet!  Oh my little squishes!!!

This camping weekend was successful!  We were camped near Dad and Aunt Becky, and even got to visit with cousin Ethan for a short time.
Ironically, the Thome's returned to tent camping this year while we get to sleep in luxury!  Our trailer may not look sparkly new but it sure is clean and a perfect fit for our family.
The kiddos all had fun and all the dgos survived each other.  Poor Jake is not used to nor does he seem to appreciate the Thome pups just yet.  Hopefully the dogs will all learn to get along over the years as I see many more camping adventures in our future!
