Good news....

Today we had the follow up ultrasound and we got great news....the placenta has moved up and out of the way....no scheduled c-section for me!!!! The baby is estimated to weigh ~3 lbs, putting him around the 55%ile. Everything looks great so far. We got a great profile picture and even a picture of little tuffs of hair on his head! He is currently resting with his head up by my ribs and his feet at the bottom.
I still can't believe this baby will arrive in just 11 short weeks. We will finish his room this weekend, then I will post pictures. Still haven't decided on a name but are narrowing down the choices.

18 month's

Poor Brandon really has a hard time these days with visits to the doctor. He practically cried from the time we got called back until we left, announcing "all done" multiple times while the doctor was in with us! Again, she was barely able to do any of her assessment. Hopefully his stranger anxiety will calm down by our next visit (in October for a flu shot....). At 18 months, he weighed in at 30 lb 4 oz, 34 1/2 inches!!! Cruising right along in the 95%ile (for both height and weight).

His appetite has finally slowed down, practically non-existant these days, and meal times are a real battle. He has decided he hates to be in the high chair to eat, mostly just wants to drink milk, and seems to be living off of fruit and cheese.

Brandon is surprising us with his vocabulary. He probably has about 30-50 words in his vocabulary and repeats just abut everything we say.

Pregnancy Update: We have our follow up ultrasound this Thursday.....here's hoping the placenta has moved out of the way!!! I have been feelng good, just tired. It's harder than I thought, working full time, chasing after Brandon, and keeping up with daily life! We are in the process of getting the baby's room set up. I can't wait to post a picture when it's done. We painted an accent wall "fudge brown" and received our bedding set (Enchanted Hollow) in the mail this past week. Only ~11 weeks to go!

Desert Museum

We spent Saturday night at the Desert Museum with Rick Engineering and some of Kevin's family. It was a beautiful night, once the sun set and it cooled down a bit.

Brandon with Grandma Payne and Great-Grandma Dudley. He really loves his "nama".

Camping 2010

We took our annual camping trip to the White Mountains this July. Brandon had a blast, he is 100% BOY. He spent most of his time digging in the dirt (and playing in the mud thanks to the monsoon season), playing with worms, and playing with his cousins, Chloe and Ally (we went with the Thome family). We all had a blast in the cool mountains.
Taking in the great outdoors at camp. Of course we brought a few comfort items from home (Monkey and a vacuum attachment to name a few!)
We went on a hike to retrieve Kevin's trail camera. It was so green and beautiful!

Here we are in a family picture during our hike....Ally couldn't help but join in. She was quite fond of me this trip, which really frustrated Brandon!

On the Potty!!!

Brandon used his potty for the first time today while Grandma Payne was watching him!!!! Maybe he is ready to start the potty training process....though I have read and heard that boys usually take longer to potty train, sometimes not until they are 3 years old....that's a lot of diapers.

Daddy's little helper

Brandon is an excellent climber....no fear at all. He just had to help Daddy with this project at Grandma Dudley's house.
Here I am at 22 weeks (back ~June 12th). We have been quite bad about taking belly pictures this time around.
